About the TV serial "Filmstreet"

a new form of its sort in TV world.

Pedram Rahmany, a director from Zwolle, The Netherlands, has developed a format wherein he wants to present the behavior of young people, with their own (youngsters') culture. It is about the specific behavior of youngsters between 16 and 25 years old.

In the month of October, 2006 [9 till 13 of the month] took place in the inner areas of Zwolle the filming of a pilot for a film serial which shall be named “FILMSTREET”.

“FILMSTREET” aims at producing a stimulating mix of fiction and reality. The thematic scenes are played by actors – mostly amateur or having a bit of theater playing experience – shall mostly be filmed in the inner town of Zwolle. Also, the reality part promises to be very exciting.

On June 30th, 2006 there was an audition under the attentive oversight of the director Rahmany, where youngsters, most of them living in Zwolle, had showed their qualities. Pedram Rahmany was also assisted by the artistic counselor Louis Spoelstra, who is indeed somebody in the film world.
